From November 14 to 16, 2012, Swiss and Swedish stakeholders in medical technologies met at MEDICA, Dusseldorf, in order to discuss potential R&D co-operations. The presentation about SWII & available funding for Swiss-Swedish R&D projects gathered more than 100 attendees at MEDICA.
More than a hundred people participated in the information sessions and aperitif at the Swiss Pavilion and the Sweden boat on November 14 and 15.
At the sessions government officials from both Swiss and Swedish side gave an introduction to the Swiss-Swedish Innovation Initiative (SWII) and the underlying funding instruments for market oriented Swiss-Swedish R&D projects.
Partnering meetings on November 15 and 16 organized by Enterprise Europe Network EEN provided an additional opportunity to find partners in order to submit a project in the framework of the joint Swiss-Swedish call for R&D project outlines.
The interest in the program in general and the collaboration possibilities in particular has clearly exceeded the expectations of the organizers.
