This talks provide insight into impact of powder atomisation and handling as well as the changes in powder properties during AM processing in dependence on AM technology and alloy composition on final properties of the component.

Synopsis: Starting in 2020, a new research lab was established at UniBw M, focussing on the whole process chain of AM. Scientists from 11 chairs in three departments collaborate on aspects of AM ranging from DfAM and development methodologies to materials for AM, process development, monitoring, and simulation to joining and post-processing techniques as well as parts reliability. All materials classes (polymers, metals, ceramics, composites) can be printed using a large variety of AM processes available in the lab. Its members are open for collaborations with academia and industry.
