SWII 2026 I Thematic focus: industrial decarbonisation, resource efficiency, and digitalisation
Accelerating industrial innovation for a decarbonised, resource-efficient, and digital future.
Transformational Technologies brings together leading innovators to harness the power of next-generation technologies – from carbon capture and energy storage to AI, automation, robotics, cybersecurity, and quantum technologies – to drive sustainable industrial transformation.
To unlock the full potential of these technologies, international collaboration is key. Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria are joining forces to strengthen Europe’s position as a global hub for advanced digital, automated, and sustainable industries. Together, we aim to accelerate the transition towards resilient, low-carbon, and resource-efficient societies.
Join global innovation leaders – including some of Europe’s most R&D-intensive enterprises, pioneering SMEs, and world-class universities and research institutes – in shaping new cross-border collaborations. Co-funding opportunities are available through EUREKA and Eurostars.
So far, the Swiss-Swedish Innovation Initiative and its partners have created 65 consortia with a total project value of €92 million – and this is just the beginning.
We invite you to co-create the next wave of industrial innovation.
